Vivienne Westwood Runway Show - Paris Fashion Week Spring 2012 PFW | Fas...

http://ww.FTV.com/videos PARIS - Vivienne Westwood has never been silent about her pursuit to keep the world green and fight global warming. "It's a war for the very existence of the human race. And that of the planet," she has said. That's why we weren't surprised when she eased this into her vampy Spring/Summer 2012 collection for Paris and still made the whole thing turn out refined. In fact, the collection was both ruined and royalty, as Style.com so accurately described. There were holes in the dresses, fishnet stockings, and clown makeup (something we're used to seeing from Westwood) but with rich fabrics like satin, sequins, and lace--a sort of combination of recycling and royalty. Girls wore over-the-top platforms and mismatched prints in thick fabrics that wrapped around each other in an oversize couture that can't really be explained. Pure Vivienne Westwood, of course. Backed to the tunes of 16-year old pianist Kyle Nash-Baker, who performed his own work.
