NARCO NATION - The Drug Borders of America

Ignacio's unique collection depicts his thoughts, his ideas and his life along the Border States.

California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, are siblings of the NARCO STATES. Half Mexican, Half American, and dangerous! Simply stated, it is a Modern Day Wild West.

Border towns embody a lifestyle of their own. You don't have to work hard to get what you want. You can be a vulture, a snake, or a coyote... It's dirty money but it is consistent and regular work.

The lives on the Border States are led by current Banditos (Bandits). They circle and scavenge like vultures, but strike like rattlesnakes... Sometimes the innocent are killed if they are in the way. The Banditos protect what they have, and they will protect it with their lives. Courageous Anti-Drug fighters have also succumbed in this battlefield while the Narcos live like Saints and their people praise them. They are folk heroes too... Part Pablo Escobar, Part Robin Hood, and Part Billy the Kid

The Narcos are as hungry and thirsty as wild Boars in this rugged territory. They are addicted to political power and filthy wealth that comes from their endless supply of narcotics. The Godfather, "Lord of the Drugs," has America in a trance. Controlling all routes and military with stimulants and a passion for power. El Padrino (Godfather) divides his power amongst his associates in Tijuana, Sonora, Juarez, and the Gulf of Mexico. It is common that these associate drug lords fight amongst each other. But in the end, it's business as usual.

America was once appealing. But decades of drug use and abuse, has distracted many. Some are now numb and are restless. There are many thousands of addicted souls and deceased victims. It seems that everyone knows how bad it its but don't seem to care... It's hard to believe, but if America is not supplied the drugs it wants, it will knock elsewhere. So Mexico continues to supply.

The battle of the Narcos shifts everyday. No defeat will cause them to retreat. What does winning the war on drugs mean? Really, nobody knows. And realistically, can it ever be won?
