- Equipment & Resources: Texas Task Force 1 maintains a large cache of equipment, including trailered boats, motors, and technical rope rescue gear.
- Regional Teams: Specialized teams operate across Texas, with high-intensity training requirements (e.g., 300-meter swim test).
- Operational Context: These teams are crucial during heavy rain events, particularly in Central Texas and during Gulf Coast hurricanes, conducting rescues from vehicles and flooded areas.
Organizations like Triad Rescue International also operate in Texas, offering specialized, multi-level swift water, and flood rescue training.
