TRUMP TARIFFS ARE A $1200 TAX INCREASE ON TEXANS

The tariffs imposed and scheduled as of Nov. 1 will cost the average U.S. household $1,200, according to an analysis by the Tax Foundation. In 2026, that figure is predicted to jump to $1,600 for households, including those in Texas.

Economists Erica York and Alex Durante, who led the study, say the tariffs amounted to one of the largest tax increases on Americans since the early 1990s.
