Oblique detonation
Oblique detonation is a type of detonation wave that occurs at an angle to the direction of flow, as opposed to a normal detonation which travels perpendicular to the flow. It's primarily used in hypersonic propulsion systems, like oblique detonation wave engines (ODWEs) and rotating detonation engines. ODWEs utilize this detonation for high combustion efficiency and potential thrust at higher Mach numbers than conventional scramjets. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shcramjet
Robert “Ed” Smylie, the NASA official who saved the Apollo 13 crew in 1970, has died at 95. He cobbled together an apparatus made of cardboard, plastic bags and duct tape after an explosion crippled the spacecraft as it sped toward the moon. nyti.ms/3Sbusb3

Treating the infection directly at its source could prevent side effects, but there’s a major obstacle: the infection sits behind the eardrum, which blocks most medications. To get around this, researchers created tiny drug-carrying bubbles called liposomes to help the medicine slip through.
