Somali gang linked to sex trafficking
search warrant indicates the Somalian gangs force women into prostitution and then move them across state lines. Sources tell FIVE EYEWITNESS NEWS that as many as 40 suspects could be involved stretching across several states. The warrant indicates federal agents, the Minnesota BCA and St. Paul Police are working on the investigation and it also shows the U.S. Attorney in Tennessee is part of the case, too. The document goes on to say that there is evidence of "other crimes" committed by these gangs in conjunction with the prostitution ring. Sources tell FIVE EYEWITNESS NEWS that this is an 18-month investigation and it is likely the scope of the investigation will have national implications and it is also likely there will be illegal weapons and drugs connected to the probe.
