Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell has paid tribute to Whitney Houston by performing a cover of 'I Will Always Love You' - scroll down and click below to watch it.

The ex-Audioslave man played the 1974 Dolly Parton song at a fundraiser for Barack Obama's presidential re-election campaign in San Francisco on Thursday (February 16), a gig which also saw him play version of songs by John Lennon and Bob Marley.

Houston scored her biggest selling single with a cover of 'I Will Always Love You' for the soundtrack to 1992 film The Bodyguard, in which she made her acting debut.

The late singer is due to be buried at a funeral in Newark, New Jersey at 5pm (GMT) later today (18).
