This is the heated vest that surpassed all other models in heating ability and comfort in side-by-side evaluations by the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute. Thanks to patented heat technology, this vest's high temperature exceeded those of lesser garments by 14º F. Three heating elements strategically placed in the chest and back are powered by a compact, 4-oz. battery pack, preferred by panelists for evenly distributing heat throughout the entire garment. Lesser models were criticized for concentrating too much heat on specific areas or using bulky batteries that felt heavy and awkward. The 7-volt lithium ion battery pack generates heat for two hours on its high setting and nine hours on low--more than three hours longer than lesser models.
